Texas Hold'em Tournament & Casino Night
St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters held the First Annual "Texas Hold'em Tournament & Casino Night" on Thursday December 2, 2011. The event was sponsored by
Aragon Construction and held at the
New York Marriott Marquis. The Event Chair was
Alex Getelman, Founder and President of Aragon Construction, and Co-Hosted by
Laurence Gottleib of
Fundamental Advisers and
Joe Roberto of
Capital One.
Over 150 guests supported the event and played in the Texas Hold'em Tournament and at other casino table games.
Bruce Eagel of
Eagel Sports donated items for the Silent and Live Auctions. As the evening progressed the Tournament players were eliminated until only one table of 9 was left. These "Top 9 Tournament Players" competed fiercely to win great prize packages and trips.
The event raised over $100,000 to support the mission of St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters to provide food, clothing and counseling to the poor throughout the New York area. Everyone who attended had a great evening while supporting the good works of St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters.
